Master fabricator Neil Fenton's answer to this was designing his own style of pogo seats based around those found on early Harleys. I lifted the following photos off Neil's site, Mr Tinker, showing some of the incredible work he's done on my bike.

I picked up this 1964 Triumph bicycle a few weeks back and after replacing the bearings, cables, brake pads, tires, chain and entire back wheel (not to mention straightening the fork legs), she's roadworthy once again.  Just in time for the arctic temperatures of a December in New York.

For the past two years, Gala has waited until the very last second to inform me how we're totally unprepared for Halloween. Two-time Grand National Champion Gary Nixon suffered a heart attack and is awaiting bypass surgery. According to his son's facebook page, he's hanging in there and had a couple of stints installed. (That's medical speak for what we in the motorcycle world would call new valve guides installed and reamed.)

Part of the Intrepid Sea, Air &amp; Space Museum, the USS Growler (SSG-577) is one of the US Navy's first nuclear guided missile submarines. Commissioned on August 30, 1958, she joined four other Regulus missile submarines at Pearl Harbor to form Submarine Squadron 1. The USS Growler conducted nine strategic deterrent patrols in the western Pacific between 1960-1963, each lasting about two months.

I LOVE my Champion-framed Triumph 500 dirt tracker. (I'm sure I've mentioned this more than a few times.) The bike screams short track and without a doubt, I obsess over it more than any other bike in my collection.
